The National Park Service B.A.R.K. Ranger program provides a fun and safe way to enjoy the 423 National Park Service sites – and also useful guidelines for visiting other public lands like National Forests and Grasslands (Forest Service), Scenic Backcountry Byways (Bureau of Land Management), lakeshore campsites (Bureau of Reclamation), locks & canals (US Army Corps of Engineers), and other sites managed by the Department of the Interior. With so many beautiful public lands, you don’t have to feel obligated to buy timed entry tickets during the high season in order to spend quality time outdoors with your dogs.
